Captain's Log: Stardate.... Ah, just kidding. Loving the buzz I've gotten from having Star Trek on Netflix.
I miss blogging. Per some advice I once gave someone, I'm going to attempt this in more manageable chunks, as opposed to the long drawn out exercises of emotional tedium that I'm prone to spew.
That being said, today's docket: Work. Read back, it's the same. I hate it, I shouldn't, but I do. Being able to be with my son is far more important than a dream job, which seems to have been the sacrifice I had to make to be with him. Sometimes it's hard to remember that and work with gratitude, tonight probably won't be any different. I will go serve tables, I will hate it, and then I will do it again tomorrow. Oh well... such is the day.
Excited about Captain America on Friday.
Reading: I'm slowly going through a book called DIVERGENT. It's been interesting in a "Yeah Right," kind of way. But that seems to be the kind of stuff I'm most drawn to read, watch, enjoy. Maybe one day I'll grow up and get out of the YA section, but I really hope not.
I've found myself to be exceptionally grouchy here lately. I'm not sure why on that count. Actually I have some ideas, but since 99.9% of those reasons all involve me and the daily choice I make, (or rather DON'T make) I'm not really sure what to do. I feel stuck. Anybody good at getting a person unstuck? If you are, come by for a visit.
Gotta fly. Work in a few. Comments keeps this going. I'm a feedback whore. Tis true. So bring it.
Peace out.

You're my hero Matthew Simpson. You may not always see it, but you have great courage. You face challenges with vigor, and you sacrifice willingly (albeit not always cheerfully) to serve and protect and shelter those you love. You are a man, in the fullest sense of the word. And I respect you.
ummmm...just so you know....that was Drew...I guess I was signed in as Em. :)
LOL... thanks. I appreciate you (whichever of you) for saying so.
