Father and Son's Friday Fun

Chris Evans rocked as
"Wing Head."
G and I have gotten in from what has become something of a regular thing. Friday's has become "Guys' Day" where we try to do something fun. Unfortunately the excessive spendature of money seems to be the primary means by which this happens. I really need some pointers that involve less costly functions.

Of course if you've been anywhere near me or one of my social sites you will know that Captain America was today's event. There was popcorn, drinks, candy, cheers, high-fives, and lots of fun was had by both. As usual Gavin had to take the opposite side of the coin when tested as to which hero was cooler: Iron Man or Cap. Iron Man will always be cooler. The sooner he learns that lesson, the better his life will be... because Iron Man is, in fact, a life changing entity of epic proportions.

Our new Viper Heroclix piece.
After the movie there was a trip to our favorite comic book store where we picked up a Captain America title and some Cars 2 comics, as well as a few new editions to our Heroclix arsenal, (Nick Fury, Black Widow, and Viper) and then thankfully a much needed nap for the Daddy was taken. Once rejuvenated it was off to a quick happy hour lunch of Mozz Sticks at the Bee's of Apple and then a quick swing by to Game Stop where my zombie-hunting child somehow managed to talk me into getting the new maps for Black Ops. Good grief, Charlie Brown.

Maps are downloading, G is reading a comic book, after having set up the Heroclix board, and I think a pot of coffee is in my near future.

I love my dude, and I am so thankful that I have this special time with him. I hope these memories will last with him within the same HUGE context of love as they will me. As I tell him often he is the love of my life, and my very best friend, and I couldn't be more proud of the huge-hearted boy he's becoming.

Until next time. I leave you with our favorite expression of joy: BOOSHAKA!
